Round Rock ISD High School students attended the District DECA competition and conference on January 19 in Bastrop. DECA’s District includes schools from all over Central Texas. After the competition, 442 RRISD students qualified for State!
The State competition and conference will be February 21-23 in Dallas. Four RRISD high schools have DECA chapters, and all four had state qualifiers. Cedar Ridge HS will have 28 students competing at State, McNeil HS will have 83, Round Rock HS will have 116, and Westwood HS will have 215. We wish them all the best of luck at State!
Students who excel at the State meet will qualify for ICDC, the DECA International competition, and conference, which will be held in Orlando in April.
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. DECA’s activities assist in the development of academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders.
